Kurv Agent aims to streamline sales process

Payments provider Kurv has launched a new portal designed to simplify workflows for sales agents who sell its merchant services. The platform, called Kurv Agent, consolidates multiple tools into a single online interface, eliminating the need for agents to juggle separate systems for onboarding, underwriting, and performance tracking. By centralizing these functions, the portal reduces the time agents spend switching between different applications, which often require separate logins and inconsistent user experiences. This streamlining is particularly valuable in an industry where agents frequently work remotely or on-site with merchants, as it allows them to complete tasks without interruptions or delays caused by system incompatibilities.

One portal replaces scattered tools

The portal allows agents to access a digital merchant application from any device, whether a laptop, tablet, or smartphone, ensuring flexibility regardless of location. Electronic signatures can be collected using one-time-password authentication, which enhances security by requiring a unique code sent to the merchant’s verified contact method before a document can be signed. Once signed, applications are automatically routed to Kurv’s underwriters, bypassing the need for manual submission and reducing the risk of errors or lost paperwork.

Real-time portfolio monitoring provides agents with immediate visibility into their active and idle accounts, including detailed deposit and batch information. For example, agents can track daily transaction volumes and review sales volume and refunds. The residual reporting section offers a granular view of revenue performance, breaking down earnings from processing fees, product sales, and other revenue streams. Cash-flow projections are generated based on historical data, helping agents forecast future income. Attrition data is presented in a way that highlights trends, enabling agents to adjust their sales approaches or retention efforts.

White-labeling options allow agents to customize merchant presentations with their own branding, which can include logos, color schemes, and domain names. This feature is particularly useful for agents who operate under their own business names or as part of larger sales organizations, as it reinforces their professional identity while still leveraging Kurv’s infrastructure. The portal’s design ensures that these branded materials maintain a consistent look and feel across all merchant interactions, from initial applications to ongoing support.

Kurv’s decision to consolidate these tools stems from the persistent challenges agents face in the merchant services industry, where fragmented systems and manual processes create inefficiencies. Many agents currently rely on a patchwork of third-party applications, spreadsheets, and email chains to manage their workflows, which can lead to data silos, version control issues, and increased administrative overhead. By integrating these functions into a single platform, Kurv aims to eliminate redundancies and reduce the cognitive load on agents, allowing them to focus more on sales and customer relationships rather than operational logistics.

“Unlike traditional agent tools that can require multiple platforms to complete everyday tasks, Kurv Agent combines merchant onboarding, e-signature workflows, underwriting routing, portfolio analytics, and residual reporting in one solution,” said Afshin Yazdian, Kurv’s chief executive, in an email. “The platform was also built with direct input from agents, ensuring the tools and features address the challenges they experience in the field.” This collaborative approach reflects Kurv’s recognition that agents, who interact directly with merchants, are best positioned to identify pain points in existing systems. Their feedback has shaped features such as the portal’s intuitive navigation, which prioritizes frequently used functions, and its mobile responsiveness, which accommodates agents who work outside traditional office settings.

Built with agent feedback, no extra fees

Development of Kurv Agent began in early 2025 and incorporated feedback from agents throughout the process, rather than being designed in isolation by the company’s internal teams. This iterative approach involved regular check-ins with a diverse group of agents, including those who work independently, those affiliated with larger sales organizations, and those who specialize in specific merchant verticals such as retail, e-commerce, or hospitality. Their input influenced everything from the portal’s user interface to the specific metrics displayed in the analytics dashboard.

The service is available at no additional cost to independent sales agents who sign a Kurv agent agreement, removing a common barrier to adoption in the industry. By offering Kurv Agent as a standard benefit, the company aims to level the playing field and encourage broader participation among its agent network. This approach also aligns with Kurv’s broader strategy of supporting long-term partnerships with agents, rather than treating them as transactional intermediaries.

Yazdian described the portal as a value-added resource that helps partners onboard merchants more efficiently, manage their portfolios, and grow their businesses. The shift toward integrated tools reflects a broader trend in payments, where providers are increasingly looking to streamline operations for both merchants and the agents who sell to them. Agents who can offer a seamless onboarding experience and clear performance insights are better positioned to compete in a crowded market, where merchants increasingly prioritize providers that can demonstrate tangible value beyond basic transaction processing.

For agents, the appeal of Kurv Agent lies in its potential to reduce operational friction. Fewer logins mean less time spent resetting passwords or troubleshooting access issues, while automated workflows minimize the need for manual data entry or follow-up emails. The portal’s unified view of business performance also enables agents to make data-driven decisions, such as identifying which merchant segments are most profitable or which sales strategies yield the highest retention rates. Access to Kurv Agent is automatic for any agent who signs an agreement with the company. There are no additional fees, minimum volume requirements, or tiered access levels that might limit functionality for certain users. This inclusive approach ensures that all agents, regardless of their size or experience level, have access to the same tools.
